Technology is a critical part of our lives, but how much of our lives should it consume? The Oakton Schools Balance Project is designed to support families as they navigate the digital world with their children. In a time when technology is everywhere, our goal is to help kids grow up with a healthy balance — where screen time doesn't replace real-life experiences, imagination, or human connection.
Balance doesn’t mean avoiding technology altogether. It means helping kids use technology in meaningful ways, while also making time to be kids — playing, creating, exploring, or even just being bored. We’re here to help families find that balance, so children can thrive both online and offline.
